I don’t wanna brag too much, but I’ve got a pretty solid idea for a movie where Matthew McConaughey plays a washed-up former professional baseball player that gets a chance to travel to England and play cricket. It’s a crazy scheme cooked up by the…professional cricket league (?) in order to get Americans interested in the sport. Needless to say, there are quite a few ruffled feathers when McConaughey’s fish out of water character hits the United Kingdom! Along the way, someone learns a lesson or something, and Katherine Heigl or somebody is in it to play the love interest. Ray Winstone or Robbie Coltrane can be the coach who redeems himself. Nobody steal this idea!
My husband would watch this movie. On the ground, not even on a plane.
