Age-appropriate fashion
I just remembered how I saved up my babysitting/birthday money the summer between sixth and seventh grades to buy some gold Anne Klein lion door knocker earrings from Dillards. I would typically wear them with my teal and white striped shirt (with sewn-in shoulder pads), white pleated shorts, white scrunchy socks, and navy Keds. Then I would ride my bike to buy ice cream and Zilpha Keatley Snyder books. My body was twelve, but my earlobes were aaaallllll 40-year old administrative assistant.

I really, really wish I could send you my fifth-grade class portrait, which was taken near Christmas. In it, I am wearing a red turtleneck, a silken floral button-up vest, and red Christmas-balls as earrings. Basically I shld be teaching the class.
